PEDAGOGÍA Y LOGOPEDIA: DOS RAMAS DIFERENTES

La sociedad actual se caracteriza por continuos cambios, para dar respuesta a ellos se desarrollan nuevas especializaciones con el propósito de abarcar las necesidades que tales transformaciones producen en la sociedad, ofreciendo así, servicios que las satisfagan. Ello provoca confusión y desconocimiento de la utilidad de ciertos profesionales, como es el caso de labores relacionas con la tecnología, salud e imagen personal. En el caso de la pedagogía, es una ciencia que ha estado evolucionando a lo largo de toda la historia, a través de aportaciones didácticas y metodológicas con el objetivo de beneficiar el aprendizaje del individuo, implicando la evolución de la sociedad. Aún así, existe el desconocimiento o confusión de la provecho de tal profesión y es frecuente preguntarse para qué o qué es un pedagogo o un logopeda. No obstante, tanto uno como otros llevan muchos años ofreciendo sus servicios de forma privada o pública. La logopedia: Trata los problemas, disfunciones o retrasos que se presentan en los campos del habla, del lenguaje, de la voz y de la comunicación. Se trabaja desde el campo cognitivo, físico y fisiológico. Con personas de cualquier edad, sea cual sea la causa (funcional, orgánica o adaptativa) que origina los trastornos. El área de actuación de la logopedia y el ejercicio de la profesión se desarrolla en varios entornos: · atención temprana, · centros educativos como personal no docente, · gabinetes privados, centros de especialidades médicas, hospitales, · grupos de investigación lingüística, etc. Por tanto, es un profesional que se encarga diagnosticar y rehabilitar ciertos trastornos o disfunciones implicados en el vocablo y comunicación. Se ocupan de varios aspectos: - Tono muscular y actitud corporal. - Relajación - Respiración y coordinación fonorespiratorio, - articulaciones. - Rehabilitación de la voz, - Rehabilitación de la deglución (tragar). La pedagogía: Proporciona asesoramiento para planificar, ejecutar y evaluar procesos de enseñanza y aprendizaje, aprovechando las aportaciones e influencias de la psicología, la sociología, entre otras. Estudia la educación en todas sus vertientes: escolar, familiar, laboral y social. Áreas profesionales son: · Diagnóstico pedagógico y psicopedagógico, · Formación laboral y ocupacional, · Técnicas individuales y grupales de aprendizaje · Educación para la salud, · Educación ambiental, · Orientación escolar y familiar. Así pues, el pedagogo es el profesional de la educación encargado de gran variedad de áreas implicadas en el aprendizaje de las personas, con aptitudes para planificar y elaborar estratégicas que desarrollen las habilidades intelectuales y actitudinales, que faciliten la evolución académica y personal del alumno. Es una disciplina que sirve para prevenir y corregir trastornos relacionados con el aprendizaje, como por ejemplo: - Trastornos de atención e hiperactividad. - Trastornos específicos de la lectura: dislexia. - Déficit de memoria. - Discalculia, trastorno del cálculo. - Trastorno del aprendizaje no verbal. - Procesos de aprendizaje de la lectura y la escritura. - Retraso mental. - Educadora familiar. - Habilidades sociales. - Técnicas de estudio. - Estimulación cognitiva: - Razonamiento, percepción, atención – concentración, calculo, memoria, … |
